Sociology Study Program Joins APSSI Congress and Conference in Balikpapan
Study Programs need to join associations to establish cooperation in order to facilitate the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the field of Sociology. Given the importance of the association, the Sociology Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga has also joined the Association of Indonesian Sociology Study Programs since 2013 as evidenced by a membership certificate.
The APSSI agenda which was followed by the Sociology Study Program as a member included attending the Organizational congress and attending a conference held in Balikpapan, to be precise at the Platinum Hotel, from 1-3 June 2022. At the 4th congress and the IX Conference, the theme was “APSSI Contribution in The process of moving the national capital (IKN)”. Representatives of the Sociology Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga in the congress and conference, Dr. Sulistyaningsih, M.Si, Achmad Zainal Arifin, Ph.D, Dr. Astri Hanjarwati and Dr. Muryanti, MA
The results of the Fourth Congress were the election of the new APSSI chairman, namely Dr. Harmona Daulay, M.Si from the Sociology Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of North Sumatra (USU) replaced Dra. Ida Ruwaida Noor, M.Si from the University of Indonesia (UI). The theme of the APSSI IX conference is "Social Approach to Relocation of the National Capital City (IKN)" with its sub-themes: Environmental Problems, Local Social Resilience and Conflict; Development, Society and State; Local Competitiveness Capacity in Economic Activities and Agrarian Conflict Vulnerability.
