Public Lecture with the theme "The Past, The Present and Future of Sociology in the Disruptive Era"
Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the Sociology Study Program held a Public Lecture with the theme "The Past, The Present and Future of Sociology in the Disruptive Era". This Public Lecture is held offline at the Interactive Center from 13.00 to 15.00 WIB. This event was attended by Dr. Mochammad Sodik, M.Si (Dean of FISHUM), Dr. Muryanti, MA (Chairman of the Sociology Study Program), Ui Ardaninggar Luhtitianti, MA (Secretary of the Sociology Study Program), lecturers and students of the Sociology Study Program, FISHUM UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
This public lecture was held for students of the Sociology study program, FISHUM UIN Sunan Kalijaga, especially new students. This event also aims to equip students with knowledge about social change in the disruptive era, one of which is the phenomenon of technological development. The speaker at this event was Sulfikar Amir, Ph. D from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and the moderator was Ambar Sari Dewi, Ph.D. (Sociology FISHUM UIN Sunan Kalijaga).
The number of participants who attended this public lecture were 75 students, and it ran interactively between the speaker and students. Many students of the Sociology study program actively ask questions about how to minimize inequality in the digital world, the role of sociologists in the reality of development, and increase the critical thinking of Indonesian people in the digital world. Then the event closed with a group photo with resource persons, moderators, lecturers, committee and all participants of the sociology study program.
