In the Internationalization commission meeting, each lecturer in the Sociology Department which coordinated by Achmad Uzair, S.IP., MA., Ph.D. conveys the work program of internationalization. The internationalization plan is based on the accreditation of nine standards to increase the number of foreign students through holding short courses, banchmaking curriculum, holding classes in foreign languages, upgrading services to students, and increasing staff capacity. Documentation of foreign students is necessary to mark documents and digital traces. At the end of his presentation, Achmad Uzair said that the faculty can respond to internationalization.
In another meeting, Dr. Napsiah became the research strengthening coordinator. Referring to the nine accreditation standards, the research field should receive attention like, the obtained funding research, the involvement actors, lecturer’s relationship, lecturers and student’s relationship, and research publications. Also, international and national journals are important to support accreditation. In this regard, supporting activities in that direction are needed, such as access to research funding, workshop methodology, a workshop for Scopus indexed journals, and research collaborations in order to publish research in reputable journals.
In the tracer study commission meeting, Agus Saputro, M.Si is the person in charge. In his presentation, Mr. Agus said the tracer should ideally not be done when facing accreditation, but it carries out annually so the tracer would detect easily. The five important points in doing tracer include; the authorized tracerer, the tool or media, the time to execute, the target to be traced, and steps to increase interest in filling in the tracer data. These five important points have been included in the faculty tracer guidebook.
Meanwhile, UI Ardaninggar Luhtitianti, M.A presents the journal team as a member of the journal commission meeting.
