The event continued by presenting Prof. Sabine on stage with moderator Daroini Rizal who is a Sociology student from the 2022 intake. In her presentation, Prof. Sabine Brombach first explained that humans are creatures who are always curious, this is what then distinguishes them from other creatures on earth. The impact of this curiosity on knowledge continues to grow. In searching for answers to human ignorance, a method is needed. She further said that in Germany it is known as the method, the way and the methodology is the philosophy. Both must be mastered by researchers.

At the end of his presentation, Prof. Sabine Brombach stated that researchers must be truly aware of why they should study the theme, in order to obtain in-depth data, and produce someone's expertise. After the presentation was finished, the moderator opened a question and answer session. Sociology students were very enthusiastic about exploring Prof. Sabine's experience in conducting research and scientific writing. All questions were answered well by Prof. Sabine. Prof. Sabine's scientist character emerged when listening to students' questions with various accents and language styles, but he responded humbly.

Here is Prof. Sabine's answer. Prof. Sabine or student questions about theory:

Rational Theory

Focuses on understanding human behavior based on the principle of rationality. Individual decisions are often considered to be calculable. Individuals are considered actors who make decisions logically to maximize benefits and minimize losses.

Impractical Theory

Usually refers to theories that are difficult or even impossible to apply in the real world. It could be because it is too abstract, does not match existing social conditions, or does not consider complex factors such as: emotions, culture, and social structure.

Prof. Sabine ended the guest lecture with a smile, which was greeted by the participants with applause. The event was attended by all Lecturers of the Sociology Study Program and also the Dean of FISHUM.
